Dog Training For Kids Designed for Kids ages 8-16 Cost is $60/4 week course; 1 hour per class. Kids and dogs go together like peanut butter and jelly. A wonderfull combination but sometimes a little sticky!! This class is a way for your child to have an active, fun, and responsible role in their furry friend's life. Each class is unique because every child is asked to submit information (a wish list of sorts) as to what they would like to get out of the class and we take their individual ideas and then we write the outline for the class. This way they know their idea's are going to be used and it gives them a voice as well as keeps their interest throughout the course. Due to this concept each course will not be the same but the loose outline is as follows: Week # 1 Basic Animal Husbandry and Saftey Grooming, feeding, healthcare, crate training, saftey, and doggie personality quiz review as well as other subjects will be covered and an open form for the students to ask questions. Week# 2 Walking on a Loose Leash The kid's will be asked to bring their MP3 Players for this class or we can provide if you do not have one. Week #3 We will be teaching sit and down. If the kids are mature enough we will go over stay as well. Week#4 We will be teaching 2 Tricks. The tricks will be determined by which one's the kids have voted on. My goal is for kid's to be educated about the dogs they live with but the class will be constantly evolving to keep their interest and keep it FUN!!! |
